OUTFIT: Off-Shoulder for Fall

So.

Last week, my heart almost stopped beating, followed by the short urge to kick my boyfriend out of the apartment. We were about to go out when I thought that I could change bags (in forever!). I am wearing my beloved Chloé Marcie e-v-e-r-y single day. So I thought, I could mix things up a little and wear my tiny little black bucket bag instead. When I walked by my boy with the bag, he couldn’t hide the expression on his face. As we’re discussing my outfit choices a lot (really, someone needs to help me understand his taste in style), I knew exactly what that expression meant and almost yelled What now?. His dry and matter-of-fact-answer totally caught me by surprise: Wow Lena, that bag is even uglier than the beige one!. Not only did he insult my all-time-favorite (and also my most expensive) bag in the world, but he also called that innocent little teeny-tiny bucketbag ugly. How could he?

I wasn’t able to reply anything but ‚You’re stupid!‘. I guess it’s a good thing that us women are so much different. If we don’t like something that our man is wearing, we spill red wine all over it or ‚accidentally‘ let it shirnk in the washing machine we accept it respecfully and let them have their way, because they obviously like what they’re wearing. Good thing though that he didn’t comment on my off-shoulder top. Maybe not because he likes it, but we’ve had the off-should-discussion several times already and I guess he just gave up trying to understand this trend. When wearing a new shirt or anything new for that matter, I am very cautious to what people say to me about the item. If it is new and I haven’t really grown to love it yet and someone picks on it, I tend to not want to wear it again. I don’t know why. So I was happy ma boyfriend didn’t say anything bad about the shirt because now that I’ve worn it a couple of times, I’m loving it and noone can change that. Ha! And now, I need your opinion: ugly bucket bag and wearable shirt – what do you think?
